Pastel Artist of Sonoma, California
Sonoma Valley is in the heart of the Northern California Wine Country. The Plaza or sometimes called the Town Square is the famed eight-acre park at the center of the small historic town with its cherished duck pond, the Bear Flag Revolt Monument, and the beautiful stone City Hall.
The Plaza is where Helene started showing her artwork during the summer weekends in the late fifties. She and her artist friends hung their work on clotheslines near the duck pond.
The Cultural and Fine Arts Commission of the City of Sonoma was pleased to honor Helene Minelli as the Sonoma Treasure for 1989 in recognition of the demonstrated mastery of her craft.
